I think bitcoin will eventually surge, I mean this is just my personal "guess" but I think it will go up to like $140k maybe higher, but it will settle back down and sit around $90k, sorta how we hit $69k then settled around $35k, please dont judge me if this is a stupid guess.
I think there will be some drama for sure, especially with the blackrock shit, and I think something new or really significant will happen in mining?
Lastly, I see nostr growing even bigger, and perhaps another major use case for the protocol, beyond a social media app, or music sharing or video sharing. There will be some project that launches where people say damn, thats a really good way to use the protocol. And we will all get immediately into it and it will be a cause for excitement.
1. A major independent journalist will publish an article on Nostr first, before anywhere else (ie nostrleaks)
2. Popular relays will get censored in an European country.
3. Many many more streamed concerts, and as a result small record labels will start to use the protocol to promote their stable of artists.

i guess the torrent site made by kieran has already opened up the gates to things like that already a little

Yeah sure:
Powerful people want to change how people access and use the i ternet.
There would be too much pushback from the public if they pushed these changes without justification.
So , in order to justify these changes to the internet, in a way that the public will agree to , they stage a cycber attack event that will frighten the public into agreeing.
This cyber attack will affect some vital part of American infrastructure, hospitals for example, and it will be on a scale that will shock most Americans.
Mainstream media will work tirelessly to frighten the public into believing that the only solution is to accept government proposals on restructuring the internet, most likely this proposal will include the need of a government issued digital identity in order to access the internet (or at least many sections of it) .
Haven't really thought about it like that ๐ค

there will be 100k daily users.
a CRM will be made for content creators.
communities will be overhauled.
1. People still won't use Nostr. Even BlueSky will be more popular than Nostr.
2. Everyone will continue to use Lightning.
3. There will be more projects with -str in the name.
Onboarding and user experience in Nostr will be polished to the point the average user will use Nostr just like X and FB. Without having to deal with npub and nsecs while also keeping their account secure and not running into sharp edges.
As more and more countries go authoritarian and try to regulate/censor social media ahead of elections, we will see a *considerable* influx of normie users make their way to this platform. And some medium sized creators will see the benefit of the V4V model particularly on flare.pub and a Tik Tok like service, which will grow among Gen Zers.
Because of the above I also predict we will get bad headlines this year and be acused of being a "cesspool of right wing baby eating extremists whose existence threatens humanity's very existance" or something along those lines.
