Ugh. Apple has rejected the latest Damus update, citing that Nostr Wallet Connect was the reason for the rejection. WTF!?

He gave an inch, so what do you expect?

I think they just don't understand what this feature does. Allowing one app to integrate with another service, "cryptocurrency" related or not, can't be seen as something bad. Hundreds of thousands of apps do this.

Most likely answer. The app is under a microscope now and much of this is new.

It’s ok if it’s not a freedom app

What is Nostr wallet connect?

Is that a new feature?

NWC has been around for a few months and is supported by several clients. It essentially allows you users to link their Nostr client and Lightning wallets for 1 tap zapping. No need to switch apps or scan invoices, etc. It makes it all seamless and integrated.

Why can’t I see that on my damus?

Shifting the goalposts...

they always will.

We call it iRedTape, milled from a single block of aircraft-grade aluminum, it’s a bold new way of envisioning sprawling, corporate bureaucracy.

Completely ridiculous. The idea of changing to Android is so painful but it might just have to happen.

I can easily transition, since most of my essential apps are cross platform. I can manage the de-appling of my life over the course of a month, and then just sell the phone to cover the cost of a last-gen Pixel 6a, which will remain under Graphene security update support for a while.
