There are two types of men in the world:

1. Men who know that pornography is a vice, and try to avoid it.

2. The remainder.

It’s easy to fall into that trap for many… it messes with natural dopamine levels and drops men sub-baseline the more they do it… they can’t really face the real thing when the opportunities arrive, and it contributes to our society’s downfall

Yes, I agree, but that's not even what I meant. There are many good men struggling to break a porn habit.

But some men have gone so far down the porn rabbit hole that they see porn and think it'd be cute to share it to with ladies.

Completely oblivious as to how inappropriate the material is. They don't even realize that their vice is a vice. Those just look like normal pictures, to them.

Oh yes… even on IG and TikTok… the volume of cheap dopamine out there is insane. Their minds are so sexualized they need help to return to baseline levels, but they’re helpless to understand/accept this

And they cheer each other on, as if they were some sort of porn hero. The blind leading the blind.

Easy to judge when you got a life.

Most of those men don't have a future. Nothing worth fighting for.

They will never be able to buy a house. They can't do what they really love.

They don't even know what they love, or what real love is, because their life has been stolen from the get go.

Everyone has something worth fighting for. Find something else to fight for.

Perhaps even something nobler.

I don’t buy that those men are hopeless.

All of us can make a choice to sit still and accept this garbage or make efforts to improve our lives. It takes work, it takes determination, but we all have the power to begin, progress, and achieve our goals.

Some are just weaker than others.

Porn is one of the most pernicious things allowed in our society. I wish I had never encountered it, and since banishing it from my life, my life has improved in almost every respect.

Testify, brother. 🫂

I think there are three issues here. If we talk about Millennials (1980-96) and GenZ (97-2012).

n the first, these we a generation raised in broken homes, high divorce rates, mothers enforcing continuous negative propaganda to the children about the divorced husband who are too young to decipher it and the rise of the internet during their formative years.

In the second completely absent parenting parents, with the only 'parenting' being the aforementioned propaganda plus a generation raised entirely behind the screens already saturated to spillover levels with adult material of every conceivable kind. 24/7

Thirdly is the forced promotion from the offset of this material and the continued 'upgrading' of it, intentionally.

You can call some vices addictions, such as smoking, drinking, gambling, drugs etc. But none of these are 'natural' in the sense that the human isn't designed to smoke. But when during formative years of the first gen young men and in the second boys are exposed to things which are 'hard wired' into their natural systems combined as mentioned with the absence (purposefully) of male role models in these times, you see why this becomes a problem which is hard to shake for most who have fallen into the trap.

I am not criticizing men for having this vice. We are all sinners.

I am criticizing men for not knowing that this is a vice.

It's the equivalent of chainsmokers trying to convince other people to take up 6 packs a day because it's so great and why doesn't everyone do it?

We would all think they'd lost touch with reality or had been brainwashed, or something.

Yes, I take your point on that. 🙂
