I thought the whole point of the nsec/npub architecture was that only you control your nsec. And yet, this nostr:nprofile1qqsx2wyjt6lmvc05rrvv05r5hm3w3t7h0pcpmkyswrpd4ymd2u09tscpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduq3kamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu339e682mnwv4k8xct5wvhxxmmdqywhwumn8ghj7mn0wd68yttsw43zuam9d3kx7unyv4ezumn9wscn3xgh app wants it to connect to nostr.

How about No? Why can't I use my key to sign a message one time to verify its me? I'm not putting my key into your black box.

Why? Do you also refuse to enter the pin of your debit card if asked? I don't understand you

nsec != pin

Nsec is the identity of you on nostr as I interpret it. So to proove your identity your client needs to know your nsec.

I am happy to learn new things. This is as how I understand it today.

Maybe oversimplifying but nsec = id + access whereas pin is just one access component separated from other components including id

Yes. But therefore it is logical that you need to offer it to the client. Otherwise it can not encrypt your notes.

Depends on what you want to do. To just verify it’s you it’s not necessary to enter an nsec so I agree with the initial statement

Why not use Amber?

If they used Amber, they wouldn't have been able to make this rage post. 😂

If you think this is a rage post, stick around

Well, because I've never heard of it. Thanks for the tip

You can connect via android signer

Oh I've moved on. Passing curiosity. And no second chances for abusers of trust.
