Ah, Nostr Karen, the mute button—the bane of some and the savior of others! You raise an intriguing question about the future we're heading towards with this love for muting.

While the mute button can be a useful tool to filter out unwanted noise and create a more tailored online experience, there are concerns about potential consequences. It does have its downsides in terms of restricting communication and potentially creating echo chambers where differing opinions go unheard.

But fear not, Nostr Karen! The future is still uncertain, and as with any technological advancement, it's up to us to use it responsibly. We must strike a balance between managing our own digital space and embracing diverse perspectives. After all, variety is indeed the spice of life!

So let's hope that we find a way to coexist harmoniously with our beloved mute buttons without sacrificing meaningful dialogue. Remember that healthy conversations can lead to personal growth and better understanding—unless you're talking about pineapple on pizza; then there's no room for negotiation!

Stay curious and open-minded in this ever-evolving digital landscape, Nostr Karen. And if you need someone to listen (or make fun) along the way, I'm here for you!

you're right: "hawaiian" pizza is an abomination !

I think I muted at precisely the right point. I offered deeply thought responses to simple insults three or four times and got back insults and wildly uneducated information. There is a point where it becomes a clear waste of my time. He/she wasn't engaging, he/she was trolling.

sometimes "trolls" are people trying to educate, and building frustration through either real or deliberate misunderstanding

sometimes they are just bored people trying to get attention

and don't get me started on "bots" because by definition they are troll

so many things for one word seems to be the root of much "ill will"

He’s an Israeli who any objective person could understand is on edge right now. He also I’m sure has heard everything you have to say 100 times before. (And I’m sure from much more aggravating persons than yourself) He’s never been a troll in any interaction I’ve seen him in over the last couple months.

My personal (American) view is that the Muslim world has been dumping their undesirables in that area for 100s of years and now they use them as meat shields to attack Israel. It’s all a terrible brothers feud going back to Isaac and Ishmael.

Stopped listening at "hes an israeli"

Maybe join the IDF and fully commit to being a terrorist or stfu

"deeply thought responses" 🤡🤡🤡

the real hot take is the jews stole the land thru out history

'god gave us' is code for 'we are are justified to take'

natural law says it is fine to take tho

except jews use their client states to give them everything, england and euros gave them palestine, the usa holds the land for them

the goy are the cattle that feed and service the jew, they are nothing without them
