Agreed. And the longer you're around an environment where you're free, the more you realize how deep the psychological manipulation goes on social media. We've all been harmed by the bullshit in this world, and we're finally finding what's real here.

This is history being written.

so my social network trajectory is twitter -> bluesky -> nostr && like. even bsky made me realize how much social media has been enshittified. the Algorithms want us to feel alone & hate ourselves & buy buy buy to fill that void

and. i didnt feel that on bsky (until recently β€” but that i dont think is like its fault, idk). and i feel it even less here

Hate ourselves and hate each other. Lonely, isolated, apathetic and helpless. Docile and easy to control and milk. Scroll, like, regurgitate.

fucki. n. absolutely this

theyre making us miserable and then packaging our misery & selling it back to us

Twitter monetized rage, packaged it up, and sold it in dime bags

I think Bluesky was the next evolution away from the shit, and that's great! But what little I know about it...yeah it's a say one thing but have a different agenda deal.

Make no mistake, this place is for the grown. You have to be responsible for it yourself at the end of the day. But you can never be freer than that. Freedom does not equal easy.

i think the biggest problem with bsky is so many people entered it with the same mindset as they were rewarded for on twitter

that and the like. if youre gonna moderate at least fucking do it well. its insulting. dont promise a safe product if you cant provide it

And that's the inherent issue with moderation since we all have different needs and wants, who chooses?

And that is absolutely the issue, we've all been trained to operate under a certain set of guidelines...take them away and people will cry for them. But what is Einstein's definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results.

heh, so true. i agree with like. a desire to not ever see deeply disturbing content, but i dont think thats reconcilable with the freedom i want to have

Yep, there is always a price to pay. But the handle that coddles you will eventually censor you as well.

so fucking true

The more time you spend here the more you realize.

A great experiment would be dedicate your time here for a week, then go back and feel the difference.

im never going back to twitter tbqh. fuck that place. my acct is gonna be gone for fucking ever in 8 days

i might put a lot of my energy here but do still need to like. post on bsky & instagram for work , but like. socially ? i wanna be Here i think

right im a huge fan

I thought it was a typo πŸ˜‚
