i love systemd and its whole suite of everything low level you need. like, systemd-timesyncd, systemd-networkd, systemd-nspawn, and the most reliable async init engine that exists.

if u still dont like using systemd, i feel bad for u.

docker build files are a good source of bash scripts. docker runtime is not suitable for production. kubernetes for example doesnt use docker runtime it has its own container engine that can deploy docker images..

i havent tried it, but i believe ive heard of it, i went with systemd-nspawn because it seems the most stable, provides cgroup access to full system resources and does not require additional virtual network.

i used to run docker in production at scale pre-kube. i have seen all the ways it can break 🐧
