What I liked about Twitter was a kind of citizen journalism (posts by those experiencing events almost in real time) and sometimes a direct line of public complaint / support to some companies. #NOSTR not quite there yet as that all relies on mass adoption.

Yeah I know what you mean. Not a fan of the public lambastings, but for instance, I actually got a more direct and quicker response and resolution for issues I had with certain companies (dealt with via DM) than going through their official channels.

That's the one area where Twitter really shines, events are widely reported in seconds, far faster that any traditional media can hope to do
