If your client doesn't support gift wrapped DMs, simply don't use it for DMs

Use 0xchat for DMs in such cases

The amount of garbage NIP04 DMs I'm getting is way too high! Stop being lazy please, privacy matters

It would be great if relay operators started keeping their NIP-11 info up-to-date so we had reliable way of determining which relays support which functionality.

We are all the same, there are too many nips, it's too annoying to manage it and 99.99% of users have no idea what nips even are. Pretty useless nip11
