Thanks, all good suggestions.

I play the organ and live in the country so spend most of my time in nature.

We live next to a botanical garden at our holiday home on the Isle of Wight.

I just came back from Lisbon visiting a friend and have family coming to stay at the weekend.

I spend most of my time in front of a computer learning.

How am I doing so far?

I think I'm heading towards exercise, apart from walking, I don't do much. I tried biking, I know 2 people that own gyms and I don't like them, so In either upping my walking game or starting running I think.

Church organ or other?

Church, electronic, keyboards, piano, harpsichord.

I haven't played seriously since my early 20's, it was going to be my career until I saw the pay 😂

What do you mean?! I know organ players on £100 a month. Absolutely killing it!

I am slightly regretting my life choices since I discovered I could have got a job working on a cruise ship playing keyboards in the onboard band, only having to work most evenings.

Not a bad way for saving dosh, you don’t have any day to day living expenses, know a few people who’ve done it… sounds like it has a shelf life though, could be good for a year or so before becoming tedious.

Yes, good for your 20's to early 30's.

I lived in Greece for a year when I was 18 DJing, working in a kitchen and fixing beach chairs, absolutely wonderful time… actually thinking about it, maybe I should go back!

Not sure my liver would appreciate tho…

I worked in a piano and organ shop in south east London, playing them to demonstrate to customers.

That sealed my decision, my boss was in his 40's, a much better musician than me and a depressed alcoholic who felt he'd wasted his life.

For exercise ever considered walking Up Hills, a quick way to get trim. Rock climbing or bouldering, canoeing, yoga, tai chi...dig holes in the garden ( not the botanical one!) For oldies, Cross training or just lifting weights is supposed to stop us withering away. There are so many ways to keep fit, if the mind is so inclined, anything to avoid running which is not good for old knees.

Our holiday home, where I walk the most is very hilly, since being there, my stamina for hills has increased dramatically.

We also have a gym over the road that I helped get started, run by a friend, who constantly tries to get me to join.

I think walking is my go to exercise, I enjoy it and do it for pleasure, which is half the battle.
