Nothing is free, right now the developers are eating all the cost, though some individuals like Jack D are throwing zaps at them. But the way to look at this is really: how much is it worth to be able to use this without the hooks of google facebook and twitter. If I have to pay a couple rupees per month for a relay, and zap a few sats to my favorite devs, I am ready to do it with a smile! Just need some good peer to peer methods for sat buy-in. (funding of wallets that are not held by others)
