Ok I have investigated this issue and this is what I have found so far.... Here is a thread with 24 notes on nostr:npub1yzvxlwp7wawed5vgefwfmugvumtp8c8t0etk3g8sky4n0ndvyxesnxrf8q ... https://yakihonne.com/notes/nevent1qgsf07zg4hxyccnkdp07fppxmetpfzru3fg6mgzx3nk8r7af8qnjjygqyq8rl6dnlmcth26r789srstan0hjhqtxdm68dl6wj3dkqfjkd24ps7fnlmn ... Next, you can see the same thread, but this time showing only four (4) notes, on PRIMAL... https://primal.net/e/note1pcl7nvl77za6ksl3evquzlvmau4czenw73m07n55tdszv4n24gvqka2jdt ..... so my best explanation so far is that although nostr:npub1jluy3twvf338v6zlujzzdhjkzjy8ezj34ksydr8vw8a6jwp89ygshpp2kq and nostr:npub1vkgj57k30l2u7wave6t4nua75wjylx3nju6qu4vu7pneghwx8zlsf7q4uq and nostr:npub10mtatsat7ph6rsq0w8u8npt8d86x4jfr2nqjnvld2439q6f8ugqq0x27hf ARE publishing to the relays that PRIMAL uses.... the other participants in the discussion, nostr:npub13thhtj384uq2dacvzjr94efgvrxdcd50geyecl8kkg6jkzd8p86sgtwvcs and nostr:npub1jlrs53pkdfjnts29kveljul2sm0actt6n8dxrrzqcersttvcuv3qdjynqn and nostr:npub1kun5628raxpm7usdkj62z2337hr77f3ryrg9cf0vjpyf4jvk9r9smv3lhe DON'T publish to the right relays, so that it is NOT possible to see their notes (in this thread) on nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg My explanation might not be right, that's why I ask...

If it helps, here are my public inbox and outbox relays:

relay.damus.io

purplerelay.com

rocky.nostr1.com

The correct relays are going to be the user's outbox selections and the recipients' inbox selections. Support for this model is pretty limited right now, even in clients that have made it a priority. It will get better.

My replies are showing up just fine on Primal. It's just that Primal doesn't display all of the replies on the same screen. You have to click a particular reply to see the replies to that reply and go deeper and deeper into the thread.

My Haven relay also blasts to Primal's relay, so they're definitely getting my notes.

Are you 100% sure about this. Can you do me a favor and open a new browser window, where you are not logged into Primal, and go to this URL: https://primal.net/e/note1pcl7nvl77za6ksl3evquzlvmau4czenw73m07n55tdszv4n24gvqka2jdt .. for me no matter what browser I try it in, I don't see any replies by nostr:npub1kun5628raxpm7usdkj62z2337hr77f3ryrg9cf0vjpyf4jvk9r9smv3lhe ... you say you ahzve to "click a particular reply" ... can you confirm that when you use this link, and do this, that you see your own notes? I can't find them!!

Which client was this note posted from?

Yakihonne.

I think this is a Primal issue. I don't use normally Primal, but from I understand Primal doesn't deliver notes to users by pulling from author's outbox relays. It goes through their cache servers. But when you publish a note, it does go to the relays you have configured which are your outbox relays. I wasn't able to see Dikaios's replies on the web browser, or in the Primal app. But I was able to see them in Amethyst and Yaki. So, I'm thinking there's something crappy going on with the Primal caching system because it's the only client with this unorthodox system for pulling notes, and it's the only client that isn't properly showing all replies.

This is correct about how Primal works. Users are only ever reading from Primal's caching server, and writing to their outbox relays. However, my notes and replies are showing fine on Primal, even on a completely separate web browser and without being logged in, so Primal's caching server has my notes. See my reply here:

Alright, I have done the above. From that link, opened in a completely separate browser with no NIP-07 extension, so I was logged out the entire time, I just had to do the following:

Click on nostr:npub10mtatsat7ph6rsq0w8u8npt8d86x4jfr2nqjnvld2439q6f8ugqq0x27hf's reply, click on your next reply, then click on nostr:npub13thhtj384uq2dacvzjr94efgvrxdcd50geyecl8kkg6jkzd8p86sgtwvcs's reply. And there I am:

nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg please fix this madness. There is no way that the optimal behavior is to hide all the notes in a thread unless you manually click on exactly the right reply? 99.99% of users will not be expecting this behavior….

OMG u are right. This is insane for a default behavior.

One of the many reasons I rarely use Primal for anything but search.

Ok, so let's boil down this question to something that could use a straightforward answer. Here is the scenario:

1. I am a user, using a NOSTR client that is not PRIMAL

2. I want all the notes associated with all of the threads that your participate in to show up on PRIMAL.

nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg What is your suggestion to achieve this?
