I'm not even sure it's a money/fiat issue, even if you pay the price you get shit nowadays. No way you can get a house with shape around your doors and windows, or withgood quality stone walls, you better get up early to find someone doing furniture with carved design around the edge while it was in every home 50 years ago. Most CRT TV from the 90s, if not trashed away, are worked fine today, good luck finding one that last a decade without issues or software obsolescence. The very first Nintendo NES and GameBoy are working fine today while Nintendo DS have cartridges failing after 10-15 years and even first Switch from less than 8 years ago have a lot of battery issues and most joystick failing but high 3nd electronics are failing even faster when not getting software obsolete.

Something got very wrong, we pushed too far to save 10, 20, 30% while paying 2, 3, 5 times more down the line be renewing everything more often.
