Buffalo Wild Wings uses tallow for their fries.

...really? Might give them another shot...

Portillos uses tallow for their fries

Bro, roast your own potatoes in tallow and you will never go back to anything else.

Tallow can also be used in pie crusts, on your skin, and to make candles.

My wife uses it for a lot of things, but I just started using it on the grill/ griddle for burgers...amazing

Say more. How do you use tallow with burgers?🍔

First, make the switch to griddle for burgers. Way better, IMO, than grill grates. I just put a griddle on top of the grill grates.

Then, I'd layer butter on the griddle before pressing patties. Then switched to leftover bacon fat (which is also very good). My wife clarified (?) some tallow we got with cow, now I use that.

- Heat griddle.

- Prep patties (1/4 lb balls, covered in salt pepper and garlic powder).

- When griddle reaches at least 400F, spread thin layer of tallow, let it heat up.

- drop burger balls on griddle, press to desired thickness

- flip when juices begin to form on top, or when bottoms nice and browned, your choce

Tallow adds so much flavor! Only thing better is marrow as topping IMHO

Excellent. I’m going to have to try this

I should point out -- I use rendered tallow, but no idea how to "render" it -- wife hands me the jar and I use it. "We're an effective team."

I believe that you just heat it and skim it but never done it before

Have you had Masa Chips?

Expensive but worth buying at least one time as a treat for a special occasion.

Dude, I wish I could get tallow. I will have to order it by the gallon when I can, and store it in my freezer. Best thing is if SHTF you got candles just add string. Ok, maybe get some good wick cord for this but in the meantime, fried anything never tasted so good.

McDonalds fake the flavour now but once upon a time it was the standard frying oil.

My wife makes tallow and would sell some for Monero (XMR).

We make our own tallow and lard. It's extra special.

It really is amazing how much it adds to the flavor

I like it for frying steaks and eggs.

And it's surprisingly good for making stovetop popcorn (I usually use bacon grease, but I think tallow tastes even better for poocorn).
