Core should have better tooltips on initial setup. The part where you have to choose watch only or not is not very clear.

Speaking of Core, what's our Dummy-proof version that anyone could run? Umbrel? Why don't we have a slick interface pruned node wallet? Or do we?

nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll is extremely easy to run on an old laptop or mini PC. Connect Sparrow and you're done. I think it's underrated. Noob to node in maybe a couple of hours, not counting blockchain download.

I don't want to dedicate another PC just to run start9. I can run core on a machine I use for other stuff and works just fine. Really dont need all the extra stuff

Ah, yeah, I see what you mean now. More like the Monero GUI wallet. I just see "dummy proof" and think StartOS. Mostly because I did it and didn't manage to break it.

Hack0 on a RockPro64 has been a rock solid experience for me.

Working on it. Wanna help? https://bitcoincore.app/

I'll glance ;) Do you have a link to the current figma file?

It is linked directly from the top of that link above. There's also a link to a web prototype that is a decent rendition of what is being built. And you can download the first version of the app that only has the node functiontionality (desktop & Android). Everything is in motion. https://www.figma.com/file/ek8w3n3upbluw5UL2lGhRx/Bitcoin-Core-App-Design?node-id=616%3A0

Awesome, ty!

I left some comments in the figma. Overall a massive improvement on current core! The things I pointed out are probably not worth sweating over / delaying current progress. Shipped > perfect.

Huge thanks. I am at a conference the rest of the week but will take a very close look. The design is months ahead of development for most things related to the wallet. So we have room for refinement. It's also a reason why I am working on the web prototype, so we can get a more realistic feel for the experience will be. Also agree with your last point. We'll give it our best shot and expect iteration via feedback and testing.

Specter has an embedded node, wouldn't say it's dummy proof, but better than core.
