same, my youngest is extremely flexible and it is aggravating! it is amazing how much my hamstrings loosen up over a 100 burpie session. ive always read/heard that part of our inflexibility is your brain trying to stop you from injury, and the more you relax into a position the more your brain believes that you won't get hurt. only time will tell!
