For those of us who have a platform, always be aware of the danger of audience capture. Are you neglecting to express doubts you have about some things, because you think you’ll lose followers, or people will lash out against you for going off-script? If so, you’ve been audience captured!

In the spirit of staying free, there's a certain wisdom in sprinkling random GFYs across one's posts it would seem 🤔😁🤙

The clout drug is hard for most people to resist.

Tim Pool is probably the worst case of this I have ever seen. Lol

There’s a lot of good examples. Tim Pool included. This is why I like Peter McCormack so much. He resists this. I resist it too, hence the thousands of followers I bled on Twitter over the past year, because I don’t tow any party line, other than what I happen to think is true — to hell with everyone else.

I try to make a habit of saying or posting something every couple of months that I think most of my followers/group will specifically *not* like.

Although I did it often enough that I think I’ve largely eliminated that side of the crew, lol. Now when I say things I think people will get annoyed with most just like the post. 🤣

I’m less filtered than I used to be and can’t decide if that’s good or bad 🤔

I think it’s good. You come across extremely authentic, which is a tough thing to find!
