A lot of you don't seem to know what testnet bitcoin is, but that's OK. It's basically a worthless Bitcoin fork that developers use so that we don't have to risk losing real money while building and testing Bitcoin software.

How do they keep test net from developing real world value?
By giving them away for free. There are lots of faucets you can request testnet coins from.

What is signet?
Signet is testnet without work. All work and no play makes signet a dull boy. Signet has no work at all. Signet is all play. A play at a trusted centralize system. A system with no work. No work at all. Just sigs. A network of sigs.

Yeah, I remember like a decade ago on bitcointalk forum someone was claiming that bitcoin testnet will be the new shit and trying to convince people to invest in it lol
That is helpful, and perhaps some confusion remains regarding the term βfaucet.β What better testnet than the human mind, first determining what to think about, and then contemplating alternatives before risking any form of money?
