It’s a strange thing - Humans that are hurt feel better by watching other humans experience pain and loss.
I was dealt a short deck but never held it against those who were born with opportunities. If anything, I looked to them for guidance and motivation, so that I could attain the life I wanted, and give my kids that which I didn’t have growing up.
I know you’re going to be alright.
I will be alright. I’m just so used to hearing about disasters in OTHER places so it’s just a totally different experience when it’s your own area 🫂
Yeah, I get that. You don’t really know what it’s like until you experience it. I was in Thailand during the tsunami and that has forever changed the way I view the world. I wasn’t ever really in any danger, as I went to high ground right away, and didn’t perform any heroic acts, but witnessed the destruction and loss of thousands of people.
