Ten minutes, ten days, as a ten year old.

For the next ten days I’m going to spend ten minutes recreating moments of my childhood. It’s to remind myself that the world is still a magical place, and full of wonder .

Today, I turned my bicycle into a motorbike with a playing card and clothespin. Hung tassels from grips, road barefoot, and chased my boys around the neigbourhood.

Tomorrow, I hope to find nudy magazines in the garbage can at the park.

Dont take candy from strangers 🫂

That last part really takes me back.

The other day I saw a kid blasting down a huge hill on an electric bike. Back in my day, if you wanted to haul ass like that, you had to pedal. AND you had to walk or pedal the bike back to the top if you wanted to do it again.

🤣 Remember when you could shoplift those magazines, run to the park and leave them for the next group of boys to discover?

Proof of work 🤣

Day 2:

Ten minutes, ten days, as a ten year old.

Day 3

I took the kids down to the river to fish for a few hours. On the way home, we bought slurpees and I taught them how to “hide” candy in the bottom of the cup before filling it up.

Still looking for adult magazines in the garbage cans at the park. No luck so far.
