The only problem with convincing BTCers is the tail emission. They will views the disinflationary nature as inherently worse than a set 21million.
Other than that and current adoption in normal markets, its better.

I think even if you don't like Monero for this or any other reason, that's absolutely fine, I'm not trying to evangalise it.
I'm just saying if we want Nostr adoption we need to be above this mindset of reporting anything non-BTC related. It'll never scale otherwise.
And I love Nostr. I love Bitcoin. I think we need this to succeed.
But it won't happen if this is the impression we give newcomers.
Totally agree. Seems taking the middle ground is the toughest opinion to take as you get called a heretic by both sides. Doesn't matter if you've been stacking for years or spending picos since Sigaint started promoting #XMR, the class of 21-23 wants your head on a stick. Without each other, both BTC and XMR don't make it imo.

Yes, it is a trade off though. You either need either high tx fees (worse MoE) OR a block subsidy (worse SoV) to secure future mining. That is just the nature of blockchains. In contrast to the real world, if everyone stopped mining gold today, gold wouldnt disappear.
And what makes fiat inflation terrible is it is unpredictable and massive.
Tail emissions is predictable and very small.
But I know any inflation whatsoever is anathema to BTCers. I can't really blame them though after a century of fiat inflation.
I was one of those initially. Went from loving Monero to being very skeptical when the tail emmission kicked in to now understanding it fully and back on board. It really was a lack of knowledge and having been bitcoin heavy focused for so long. When you think like a hammer, everything looks like a nail. Took me a while to come to my own conclusion that to me bitcoin is SoV and Monero MoE.
