From zero reach to real impact — I need your early-stage podcasting wisdom!

I’ve started a podcast on a topic I believe is deeply valuable:

How responsibility is the real path to freedom — why we must work for freedom, take responsibility, and resist handing it away for short-term comfort.

To be as authentic as possible, I decided to do it in my native language, German.

But here’s my challenge: I don’t yet have the reach to connect with all the people who might benefit from it. To be honest, I don't have any reach at all!

As experienced podcasters, I’d love to hear your wisdoms:

💡 What tips or tricks did you use in your early days to grow your audience?

💡 How did you build and engage your community?

Your advice could help me share this message with those who need to hear it most.

So, I beg you to spare just two to five minutes of your time to help a fellow pleb out by giving me your thoughts!

Not a Podcaster (obviously) but I think you eventually grow your audience by staying the course. Keep on grinding, stay true to yourself and be honest. Talk about what matters most to yourself and slowly but surely more people will engage with your content 🤙🏻

Dear fren,

Appreciate what you're doing! and always support🫡

But I don’t really have any tips for growing a channel, honestly I’m stuck too. In the past 30 days, my subscriber count has gone up by…2

So I started asking myself:

Why did I even start this channel?

And why do I insist on using my mother tongue, Cantonese?

The answer:

I can express myself much more clearly in Cantonese.

I might inspire more Bitcoiners here in Hong Kong, helping to strengthen and decentralize the network.

I’ve always carried the ethos I learned from nostr:nprofile1qy28wue69uhnzv3h9cczuvpwxyargwpk8yhsz3rhwvaz7tmed3c8qarfxaj8s6mrw96kvef5dve8wdrsvve8vvehwamxx7rnwejnw6n0d3axu6t3w93kg7tfwechqutvv5ekc6ty9ehku6t0dchsqgrwg6zz9hahfftnsup23q3mnv5pdz46hpj4l2ktdpfu6rhpthhwjv0us2s2 's nostr:nprofile1qyt8wumn8ghj7ct5d3shxtnwdaehgu3wd3skueqpz4mhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejqqgrnclmf4yr2pwn6thh620pga27xwyvllr7gj5s4mvl73n6mr2qvasys4z4c ethos

I was also motivated by nostr:nprofile1qyxhwumn8ghj7cnjvghxjme0qyt8wumn8ghj7etyv4hzumn0wd68ytnvv9hxgtcqyp78vh2q05af6h4pzl9chp5ev2zkq7rlczz2p3m2l2jyn0aazgwcgs0270c 's videos to start a channel and join Nostr in the first place.

Worst scenario?

Maybe I won’t reach anyone for months to come.

But in the process:

I’ll keep learning while preparing and explaining topics.

I’ll help my family and friends understand what I’m passionate about.

I’ll continue being part of this revolution.

So I’ll keep grinding

No regrets

That's the spirit!

Same here is some sense.

I keep doing the videos as long as friends and family will enjoy them and work on my craft to get better!

The 3 most important things are: Consistency, consistency, consistency. And after that it's authenticity and finding your own voice, which follows from consistency. nostr:nprofile1qqs883lkn2gx5za85h00557z364uvugel78u39fptkelar84kx5qemqpzdmhxue69uhhwmm59e6hg7r09ehkuef08lzuwk

Obrigado.

I feel the same way, the average "American" "isn't" quite like me, the way they communicate, the order of words, the way they think, the priorities, "the respect", everything is different. But I like that. It's good to recognize and appreciate the difference, as Gigi said it all, consistency, and don't get carried away by the ¥€$... easy

Just start . Do what you love and like. The gives you the energy and power to keep going. I think the best is not to ask soo much the community. It is like I ask the community to decide how the design for a client should look like.

They don’t know.

They don’t have the education and experience I have. Or the reason why the client came to me

Same with you.

You are the expert.

You are right in what you are saying and telling us in your podcast.

On the path there will come haters. Especially in Germany

Avoid giving them attention and energy.

Most important is fun ☺️

You are right! Don't lose the fun! That's why I started it in the first place. Because it's fun for me! Thank you!

I listen to all of your podcasts on Fountain. Some resonate with me more than others. But all in all, just keep going. I love that you are a teacher (beamte) and you understand capitalism and free market. That is something new.

Sadly/lucky not Beamter. Nur Angestellter.

Thank you for the kind words

Thank you gor educating others 🙏

Your students have a great teacher
