Never understood “if you don’t vote, you have nothing to say”. It’s the other way around. You freely take part in the corrupt scheme, you believe in the “democratic process” (as long as it works in your favor); you have nothing to say, isn’t democracy what you want? I recognize democracy and elections as the charlatans they are, democracy-plebs believe they can change the system through a referendum controlled by a central authority — we are not the same.

I’m convinced the majority of democracy-plebs don’t even believe in democracy themselves. Whenever a candidate they don’t like wins they cry about it, like the world is going to end. Is democracy really that good when the winner of the popularity contest has the omnipotence to “destroy our democracy”? These people have three brain cells and two of ‘em are on vacation.
A couple of thoughts on democracy:
1. There’s no way to corroborate your vote, so the outcome is not related to your vote
2. My (or Mencken’s really), on why democracy doesn’t work, from a previous post below.
3. But, specifically re Referrenda. The masses are easily manipulated and exhibit a dangerous mob mentality. Neil Oliver’s example of the tyranny of the masses is a good illustration of it. He didn’t want to wear a mask in a plane, as we all know, these masks didn’t work…

Bingo! It’s especially easy to control the people in welfare states. “Let’s make the populace be dependent on the state and make them believe the state works in their favor. They’ll trust everything the state says.” Pieces of paper in a box are easily forged as well, when all the “verification” is done by government appointees behind closed doors.
