It would be far better to do this on nostr as there would be no phone number requirement
Without a phone number it's hard to utilize the existing web of trust you already have.
But it's a shame there is no better way. I don't know about any other.

Phone Numbers suck, for many reasons
I know a lot of people who I trust or they are willing to pledge for me.
- All of them have phone number.
- Two of them have Nostr.
It's a network (cold start) problem. Not phone-number problem. First we have to build better network and migrate world to it.
I agree Nostr is a way but in the meantime, shitty numbers are what we are stucked with.
