Is hard working with your husband? Is it difficult to “turn off” from work and separate your yourselves from it?
Haha yes! For clarify, we are ‘common law partners’ not ‘married’ but we talk about Damus all the time. Which isn’t a bad thing. He’s been trying different side projects for a while and this is the ‘one’ that has really stuck. I think it’s a passion project for us both now so it’s fun to discuss 💜

On nostr, I find it’s difficult to keep track of time and things just moving so quickly. Then there are new things added, people go crazy for a few days, then it goes quiet and then it goes crazy again. Does it feel like that from your end? Do you have time to sit, take stock and just reflect on what’s happened in the past four months? Or does it fell like you are just going 100% all the time? Like what a ride it must be for your family!
Yes. All of that! #[2] has a very unique creative process. We discuss things and then he goes completely off course…but I think that’s the whole point here. It’s not a corporate ‘plan’ of how things are rolled out. There aren’t any algos, VCs, advertisers so he’s building something he believes in (with input). In terms of ‘taking it all in’… we have had moments. It’s awesome. We love this community. Makes it all worthwhile 💜

Yes on optional subscriptions…damus purple this week #[2] ? Lol. He wants to fix the reposts on MacOS and iPad first so don’t worry ya’ll that’s a priority: anyone have a fix? Apparently it’s complicated. Other things in near future are in app wallets, improved dmS and notifications. Also some badge stuff and merch
Merch is essential for a variety of reasons. There’s some talented folks here for just that!

That’s a great vision ! Damus is the best client today by far in iOS ! and I think this will continue !
I hope there will be a way to make DMs more secure in the future in Nostr, since today the metadata is available for everyone to see.
Globally I would love to see the integration of more privacy focused features in Nostr !

Our son has the largest room in our place including a space that used to be our ‘office’. Hence why I’m working in the kitchen and Damus headquarters is our bedroom lol. This is real life ya’ll. Thanks for sharing #[4] 💜

I’ll ask a random question: How has life been affected since the development of #[5]?
Day to day right now isn’t much different because I’m still working my normal job and Mr e is back in school, etc but the next few months are going to be exciting with a bunch of travel for us - spreading the Nostr-Damus/free speech everything. I would say that #[3] is super happy being able to work full time on something he’s truly passionate about and that’s been awesome
That’s ultimately the dream is to work on the things you love while affording the day-to-day expenses to stay sustainable. It’s great that you both are so vocal on here because experiences told through your interactions give normal plebs like me something to aspire to.
That is awesome! This is exactly what we were hoping the dialogue would lead to. Nothing is easy but it’s possible! 💜
