Ask questions to learn, not to argue.
Discussion
Why?
When you ask a question as a response to an argument, you're trying to make your opponent reveal more about his position so you can find some weakness to exploit. You're not curious about changing your own mind, so it's disingenuous.
People IRL who spend all day on farcebook, twitter, etc. do this. They pull this "gotcha" bullshit in every conversation, trying to catch you in a generalization or some minuscule detail so they can "win." They think coversation is a damn battle that can be lost or won. It's tiring, and the number of Nostr users doing it is increasing. Keep Nostr hard, keep Nostr small.
Insta-mute for those accounts.
I really want to passively tag people to this post. 😂
It's a pet peeve of mine when instead of presenting an opposing point of view, people just pester you with questions to waste your time and avoid changing their mind.
I usually mute them 😂
Spot on. For some reason I feel guilty muting people. I think there just aren’t enough active users to justify muting. Unless spam or bots. But I could say those troll replies are spam so maybe I should reconsider. 😂
I notice sometimes it’s an ego thing. They don’t want to admit to themselves that they might be wrong or learn something so instead they question to pick at the statement.
It's super annoying and I think that's the point lol
There's nothing wrong with rhetorical questions bitch ass
