I don't know the answer on how we grow nostr but pretty sure we need more than a hashtag
Maybe we need some kind of workflow so anytime a big account is suspended on Twitter or YouTube that reaches our to them or something? Just thinking out loud

I once again challenge the giga brain devs:
Step 1: Auto identify and curate list of banned accounts from twitter.
Step 2: Invite said account + followers to nostr explaining the unique value prop of nostr.

A list of people who are/were often banned from twitter and made a place to go check their new accounts.
Why "auto"?
I am doing things that dont scale, as are many on nostr.
Having an auto generated shortlist is like outbound sales lead gen. There is some basic criteria, for instance:
1) banned from twitter
2) minimum X followers, Y years account etc.

Only the first step is automated (seems trivial to my non dev eyes). Unless nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 you volunteer your time for lead gen.
I believe this thing you think is trivial is actually absolutely impossible. Even if Twitter voluntarily gave us programmatic access to their stats and a way to query them (which they probably don't, even if we pay the elon price) then how would we get the data for accounts that were already banned? These would not be available.
In any case I think automating the first step is also not very good, if you're going to approach someone with a crazy idea it's probably better if you know them at least a little bit instead of just having taken their name from a list.
Agree with you. On all but the last part.
People are on nostr today not because its a 10x better experience. They are on nostr because of the ethos, and the potential of nostr.
Between ten to a hundred missionaries the world is smaller than you might think.

We live in an attention economy, dopamine driven NPC's will hate nostr.

Of course we need more nostriches and network effects to reach full potential.
One solution is to provide so much value it can't be ignored plus meme them into oblivion using our ghost accounts.
So, let's build even more products and services that use NSEC as the only identifier.
Maybe we can use more 'conversational design' best practices instead of page based interactions so it feels more alive instead of static.
Subtle micro animations work as well to engage and captivate users.
What most clients lack is support for gestures (swipes) to make it feel more smooth.
It needs an UBER hacker to do their thang and put out a strobe effect #grownostr advertisement on global TV channels during peak hours. Surely that's easy enough to do. Right, right🤔.
We can't really have workflow when we suck so bad at onboarding. It's slowly getting better.
