I don't think its taboo per se... everybody wants to see success stories. They just really want them to be ones that align with their own definitions of value. 😅

It certainly feels taboo to me, but I think one of the other replies hit the nail on the head describing it as the “crab mentality.” I found this meme that sums it up well. “You can’t win unless it means I can win.” “We don’t do that around here.” “Not in my city, punk.” The unwritten NIPs of nostr, if you will. 😂
