Tell me blunt truths. Hurt me. Destroy me. Make me look in the mirror with horror upon myself.

If what you say is true, I can be rebuilt, anew, better, bulletproof. With hard truths as my base layer rather than comfortable lies.

The question is, are you worthy of being believed?

It’s not a lie if I believe it.

That’s why I say are you worthy of being believed. Do you walk a path of truth, reflection, self mastery? Or do you fill your mind with comfort and distortions of reality to ease a part of you that doesn’t want to be confronted? It’s a constant path of refinement and reflection. And many times even when we think we are being truthful, we are lying to ourselves.

Start again.

Because you are unattached to the past version of yourself who lacked said, hypothetical, newfound, “blunt truths”.

There are two types of people:

-Those who get mad about being corrected because the correction exposes their past self for having been wrong.

-Those who are happy when corrected because now they don’t have to be wrong about that anymore.

One is based in ego, the other in truth.
