you may want to consider obfuscating your IP address though, on the off chance you aren't using a VPN or Tor, and something is by chance reported it would be better to have taken the precaution than not

100% incorrect. Your IP number can be tracked, data can be gathered without waiting for a corporation. Nostr could serve as permanent evidence that you're guilty.

Privacy was never considered when Nostr was designed. Quite the opposite. You can't claim you didn't make a post, unless you can prove your nsec was leaked. You are cryptographically tied to your content, and it's all public.

VPN and Tor will help for sure. Some VPNs will cave to legal pressure, so pick a good one. Tor seems to do a good job of obscuring the data path.

If you can't figure out how to obfuscate your IP address, you're not ready enough to not get locked up or killed for having an unlicensed opinion.
