“Hey, it’s not as if he runs a high-production podcast about bitcoin that could be educating people on how to avoid custodial exchanges and the risks of using leverage and seeking yield on a scarce asset with a historically volatile exchange rate.”

Why don’t YOU start that podcast??????

Action > words

Because I provide value elsewhere. We don’t all need to be bitcoin educators. But we should call out people doing it irresponsibly.

If you ain’t planning on fixing it then don’t complain.

That’s regarded. I fix plenty of patients. Heart transplants, coronary disease, aortic dissections, etc, etc.

If that’s your stance then the only people commenting on diet, exercise, seed oils, and health are me and my fellow physicians.

The problem starts before my patients get to the OR. Just like the scams start before the unsuspecting podcast listener signs up with Peters referral on BlockFi.

I don’t produce a podcast, but I speak regularly at a local meetup that I help organize along with some other fine plebs, #[5] #[6] #[7] where we dedicate time to explaining the risks of not holding your own keys, and avoiding well-funded scams that take advantage of unsuspecting peoples’ lack of knowledge.

Good

Ok we get it! 🤙🏼

Moving on…

Nobody cares about my opinion, but I've been closely reading all this drama. I think you are right, #[5] . However, I also think #[6]

is not promoting companies knowingly they would be going bankrupt. I would strongly suggest you both make a peace treaty. Just let this one go, and we will all be checking upon the legitimacy of Peter's sponsors from now on.

Ultimate responsibility is with the user, always has been for every product ever made.

Sure… go ahead and look up thalidomide.

Point taken. But promoting a shitcoin casino and yield generating products are antithetical to a “bitcoin” podcast. I know people who have lost a lot in blockf, so it touches a nerve.

Thanks for the advice, I am done (for now 😉)

All I know is that even after months of warnings that BlockFi was under multiple investigations since mid-2021 and forced to stop offering yield accounts to US residents, Peter was still promoting them on his show.
