What's the best way to get a USA boomer employer to pay a salary or salaries in bitcoin to remote workers?

I tried pitching the idea of opening a business account with Strike to keep it as simple as possible, but I got some argument about it complicating accounting.

Quit them as an employee, and offer services via contract with said requirements.

If they don't want to convert fiat to BTC, that step will always be a "complication" to accounting.

Have them send fiat to employer strike account and set Strike to autoconvert

I tried giving my bank details that strike provides, but I was told the payment bounced back.

That is a strike bug then, get a hold of their support.

You might call Strike and ask them, pretty sure they have support for businesses/organizations.

True, I should keep on pushing, the benefits of earning in btc would be great.

Also, River has direct deposit now too. They are an excellent company with a great reputation.

They don't support locations outside the USA unfortunately...

Ah, ok.

Here’s a service I’ve heard of.

https://bitwage.com/en-ca

I applied but got denied :(

Offer a 5% pay cut if paid in bitcoin

Worth a shot, but I think the word bitcoin just shuts their brain off.

Just have everyone sign up for Bitwage, the employer doesn’t need to change anything.

I'm undesirable haha

You’re definitely on some list.

You can convert your paycheck automatically in nostr:nprofile1qqsvn0dkjt80raqrxd470c98n7zrdehmcvj6p5hgw3kyku6zyd8z0fqpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduqs6amnwvaz7tmwdaejumr0dstk9pf8 to bitcoin for zero fees. No need to convince them to do anything. You can just opt out of the poor money

I gave them my strike baking details but the transfer bounced. I didn't try again after that, I'll have to get in contact with strike as to why that happened.

it might be, that transfers to your strike account are only allowed from bank accounts in your name? maybe nostr:npub1cn4t4cd78nm900qc2hhqte5aa8c9njm6qkfzw95tszufwcwtcnsq7g3vle can clarify

Seems that is no longer the case starting December 10.
