It is important to understand that a significant portion of your paycheck is being directed towards fueling conflicts around the world. The ongoing battles between Russia and Ukraine, the United States and Yemen, Israel and Palestine, and the impending clash between the US and Iran are all made possible by your financial tax contribution. It is crucial to consider the ethical implications of supporting these conflicts through your tax dollars and to question the status quo instead of settling for convenience.

Fraud is your friend 😊
It's morally imperative to commit tax evasion.
I like to think that every Lockheed Martin job I do claws some of my taxes back.
Luckily a significant amount of my paycheck is an insignificant amount. Checkmate, state.
All I want to know is how to say no when every employer is enforcing at-source income tax deductions for fear of being saddled with the liability if their employees don’t file or remit in a given year. This has effectively turned every employer into a collection agent for the state. The only way to say “no” now is to be a sole proprietor or contractor, and work entirely under the table. I asked our admin if they would just direct our payroll provider to not deduct tax at source and let me administer my own settlement at the end of each year and they simply won’t accept the risk. Not to mention the fact that income tax balances here in Canada are charged interest DAILY once assessed.
