Why not just remove all Apple appstore from Damus?
If the options are (1) No Damus at all in the app store, or (2) An Apple-approved version of Damus without tipping, then (2) seems the obvious choice. I would also expect a non-Apple approved Damus to be floating around for people who know how to load it.
But I presume nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s isn't done fighting for option (3) damus with some sort of tipping.
Cuz Apple has a plan to nostr. They donβt hate it, they hate cuz they did not invented first.
How do you connect your LN wallet to apple pay? Maybe if you let users zap sats through their bi-fruit-wallet they'll be happy and people will have incentive to find a cheaper platform.
Just remove zaps from notes for apple but keep the zaps next to the profile. It's death by 1000 paper cuts. But it's better then dying quickly bc it buys you time.

Forget my previous answer, I didn't read correctly.
I do think there needs to be a nostr client that doesnβt focus on tipping. I donβt think Damus is that one. Everyone here wants that. So Damus could possibly implode if that feature was lacking here. For Damus it seems the better route to get off the App Store, and stick with the web, and then develop a client for the App Store that got rid of tipping for to appeal to the masses.
