Disarmed people are slaves. At which point bravery doesn’t really matter.

slaves of who?

The people using guns to prevent them from having guns.

Eventually drones make everybody slaves

skynet vibes :-D

disarm them 😁like we do disarm the banks

The 3d printing equivalent of cypherpunks are designing & building new guns, that anyone can make, in order to even the playing field. Power disparity & people lacking tools of defense is the real problem.

this feels dystopia for me 😢

Perception is not reality.

The least safe cities in the US are the ones where people are supposedly disarmed. All mass shootings take place in “gun free zones.” The places in the world that are “safe” without guns have a very fragile sort of safety that leaves them extremely vulnerable to attacks.

If we want a safe society, then people need widespread access to tools of defense, & a healthy knowledge & respect for said tools needs to be a part of the culture.

maybe it's just the perspective out of europe that doesnt let me understand the problem. we do not have to deal with these things (mass shootings e.g.), nobody is armed.

by the way i'm absolutely impressed that we can have a dialogue here on nostr to a very difficult topic without yelling something about each others moms. i like that. thats a massive win. cheers to you bro, we won't find a solution together but i can understand you and respect your opinion even though i dont share it.

I mean… I live in a rural gun friendly place so I don’t have to deal with them either. Most people are armed. Crime rates are extremely low. Everybody waves & says hello. Lots of people leave doors unlocked. Etc

Cheers for the rational discourse 🍻

of course. community prosperity creates safety. weapons don't create violence hopelessness creates violence.

Exactly. The places where fiat money flows the fastest become the most unlivable. People feel trapped, the culture rots, & they turn to drugs & violence as a means of escape & revenge.
