You can either upload videos directly in apps that supports direct uploads (most of the popular apps do). Or you can paste a link to an existing video in your post, and the app will render it in the post once you send it. For direct uploads, you may have different limits on file size/video length depending on which media host youโ€™re using, whether you have a paid vs. free plan with them, etc.

What are good paid hosts one can use for longer videos?

Primalโ€™s built in hosting is great if you use the primal app. Nostr.build is also top notch. And the free plans on both are even good offerings, but definitely recommend the paid/premium plans if you intend to upload a lot of video content.

Which app are you using? If you use Damus, Nostur, or Amethyst, for instance, and you have a paid nostr.build plan linked to your npub, then your media uploads in any of those apps will go into your nostr.build account. Itโ€™s freaking magic. Lol

I use Amethyst 98% of the time. I've got primal on my iPad, but very rarely use it.

Linking nostr.build to the npub make a lot of sense. Definitely gonna do that!

Hereโ€™s their about page. It gives more details on what you get with a free vs. paid account.

Thanks for sharing. I became a paid user with Nostr.build

But then I had a file that was over their max of 4gb

Will have to figure out another way to
