🍷 https://translate.nostr.wine is now available publicly! Use DeepL for the same cost without the registration hassle. Auto removal of common untranslatable strings and target/source language matches before credit deduction.

If the language is not supported by DeepL, it uses GCP Translation instead. Other providers will be implemented if needed. Compatible with any client that supports the LibreTranslate schema.

All active filter.nostr.wine subscribers are eligible for 10,000 free characters. Let me know if you want to try it out!

Some clients (like Damus) let you integrate directly with translation services so that you can translate notes directly on your client. One of the more popular self hosted ones is called LibreTranslate. This uses the same schema so you can use it with anything that supports LibreTranslate with a custom URL.

ok, it looks I need to use a client like Damus which can configure which machine translation service to use, and also support to use LibreTranslate style with the custom URL pointing to translate.nostr.wine ?

I was not aware of the usage because I'm on android 😂

Automatic machine translation using translate.noste.wine worked fine on my Damus app! I can't wait for android clients support auto MT via LibreTranslate format
