Thinking breakfast sausage like pork or beef. Looking for something without corn syrup solids and other highly processed stuff.

Yes, just buy ground pork or beef and mix with dried sage, thyme and rosemary (fresh is fine too)am and salt to taste. fry up a test portion to see how it tastes and how long it takes to cook. form into patties for 2-2.5 oz portions. Should make 6-8 portions per pound. Place into two portions in one pint plastic bags. Squeeze out air and freeze. When you need them the next morning pull them out of the freezer night before and fry up in the morning. Prep is everything in a kitchen and once you are ahead sustaining your larder it becomes easier and more cost effective. Let me know if this helps I can always go into more detail if you need.

Thank you. I'll try that. Seems much simpler than the other recipes I was looking up and most of them included adding sweeteners. I'm making these for kids to grab before school since school breakfast is a joke of highly processed foods and seed oils.

Just experimenting with different ratios and ingredients is fun. I figured you were trying to find something easy and tasty for the kids! A bit of onion and garlic powder in there is nice too, my kids love sweet Italian sausage or Irish breakfast sausage in the morning too. Yeah it’s crazy to think that’s just normal! Before ww2 everyone just did mostly did all their owns preparations and cooking.
