New thing I’m doing while working at my desk - stretching and squatting 😆 and ab exercises. All benefits of standing desks.

Starting to think I may not even get a stool. This has really promoted me to move around more. 10 seconds here, 30 seconds there, 5 minutes elsewhere and it kind of adds up!

Prob an app out there where you can earn sats doing it too

OK, I’m in. Thinking of a standing desk too. Do you have one to recommend?

I’m in Japan so my options are limited but there are desks for all budgets out there depending on your needs. Ikea has one too. But depends on build and material quality. Hear great things about uplift but they don’t ship custom here. I just have a cheapo from a local furniture store that I’m about to ditch next month

haha, yeah I switched to a standing desk and never ended up getting a chair. Must admit, by the end of a work day I might go sit in the kitchen with my laptop or another room, but the "productive" part of my day is done standing up.

I find myself moving around, pacing when I'm thinking about something, looking out the window - dancing even. I like it!

Yep. And my legs are strong af now. I don’t mind standing all day.

100%, it really isn't a problem - you pretty much forget about desk chairs after a few weeks

Its the only way (moving in between work). The next level is a desk outside for max sun.

I need to work on a similar routine. I can’t get in my “flow-state” while standing and just get lost in my work. Lately only been standing while doing emails and docs.

I’m always listening to energetic music so it kind of puts me in a flow state between the machine and the movement 😆

Slip a treadmill under it. I did so in June 2024, and I find walking while working and on calls MUCH easier on the legs and joins than standing still. Clocking in 4-8 miles a day, 5 days a week, has helped shed pounds and improve endurance as well.
