Never use your real phone number on these things. This is always a reason to have a burner number, Google Voice, etc. and never use SMS for 2-factor on any financial account, especially for bitcoin, or even shitcoins, if that’s in fact something you don’t want to lose.

Governments be trying to find terrorists and child rapists by tearing down our privacy rights, while the rest of us are just tryin' to not get our accounts hacked, money tooken all while trying to survive on low class salaries.
It wasn't twitter that fucked him, it was the fact that SMS verification is lauded as secure and supported by regulation, plus the fact that regulators incentivise people to ID check and surveil people using that same telephone number and takes no preventative measures with the heavy hammers they weild.
We think our governments have our backs, but they manipulate and tease us in order to get whatever they want and care not about the consequences we face.
