i mean following numbers attached to profile >1K or 10K can cause issue on some relays?
There is no technical limit, but at some point things slow down. I have issues on some clients.

Maybe. I suspect lack of engagement compared to Twitter was a problem too.
People that checked out Nostr and didn't like it need to check again every couple of months because clients are drastically improving over time.
Lack of engagement falls back to proof of work, since we have no algos to do it for you.

Did you get an idea of retention from the pruning? I'm developing a web of trust tool which will run faster if inactive accounts are left out, so considering what's a good threshold.
Some of them may just have real life interfering with their use of online tools.
They may be back in another month or two.
