After using Photoshop for 20 years, I can't use Gimp. I've tried many times but I just can't use it. I'm sure if I used Gimp for 20 years and tried to switch to Photoshop I'd have the same argument.

Never really used any of them so I have a fresh set of eyes
Try Gimp then. There are tons of how to videos on YouTube. This channel is great.
Since the good ol' days of installing it from cd-roms, no rental subscription 🫶 ?
I did the switch and could being now at the sour-comfy spot of be able to using any, BUT, ranting about the nowadays's Goliath stances of Adobe and Autodesk...
Why though?
Does it stem from unwillingness to learn something new, or does photoshop do something differently that Gimp cannot?
Last time I used photoshop I was in college and found it to be meh. Do not know how long away it has come since then.
I have heard this argument from a lot of people, but i just don't get it.
I've been able to use it professionally for over a decade with no issues. The latest 3.0 upgrade was pretty sweet too.
I feel this. I have started using Gimp after getting sick of paying a subscription to Adobe, and it is painful to re-calibrate my brain to the way Gimp does things.
This. I've been using Gimp forever. Everything is wrong on PS 😂 familiarity is key.
