My go-to for power equipment. Best chainsaw and string trimmer I have ever used are the Stihl ones I own. Husky has a huge following around here in the timber lands as well and it seems to be split about evenly in what loggers use.

Stihl is German. Still great quality.
Swiss, German... Both are known for quality manufacturing and design. Stihl is REALLY well known here in the Pacific Northwest and has a near cult following. There are some other brands that creep into the scene but for the most part it is Stihl and Husky here.
Same here, Stihl and Husky. Most loggers I know, prefer Husky, especially for big trees.
