Didnt realize Stihl is a Swiss brand. That would explain why theyve had consistent quality and have been expensive for so long. 🇨🇭🌲🪚

I thought they were German?

hm.

yeah they may be.

i saw “made in Switzerland” and jumped to conclusions.

Yeah I think their headquarters are in Germany, but their tools are made all over the world. I’ll never buy another brand of saw.

My go-to for power equipment. Best chainsaw and string trimmer I have ever used are the Stihl ones I own. Husky has a huge following around here in the timber lands as well and it seems to be split about evenly in what loggers use.

it's German

Hi Ava! 👋

hahaahaaha!

Currently, all Stihl chainsaws are manufactured in Oregon, USA. They’ve been made there since 1935 when the company was first started. However, this doesn’t mean it only started out in Oregon; it actually began in Germany back in 1924.

huh.

🤔

mine says “made in Switzerland 🇨🇭”

Sounds weird. they have a creepy nazi past or something?

ima look…🤓

I dug a little deeper. That blog was a little lacking. Stihl saws sold in the USA are made in Oregon. They have other manufacturing facilities, one being in Switzerland. Did you pick it up second hand? Could be someone special ordered an overseas model.
