They're not religions of peace. They're a story meant to raise the level of consciousness of humanity. If you choose to serve this psychotic god you've lost. Majority of humanity has lost. Their god brings misery and destruction to them even when they're faithful but they still worship it. But Satan offers knowledge to them and they call it evil.
Without religion, tribes were small and brutal. With religion, tribes can be arbitrarily large. I can travel far and know I will find brotherhood and safety and trust with strangers. Religion is meta, it transcends empires. With scale, comes conflict at scale. If you want religion to end, you must solve the scaling issue of trust.
Same thing can be said about language.
Or other cultural or biological traits different populations share.

I'd say Israelis have decent amounts of food. Quatari and Sauds too. Iranians are worse because of US sanctions but not starving either. That doesn't seem to help.
Your right the Israelis do produce a lot of food, but how are they doing it? If they are using nitrogen salts they are using up 4 times as much water as they need to while Jordan right next door is one of the most water scarce countries on earth.
