Are robot vacuums a scam or are some of them good?

Asking for a friend who has two dogs (me)

I have a dog. A lab. Couldn’t live w/o a robot vacuum. Running everyday. Worth every fed coin.

Same. I have an iRobot. It's not perfect, but cuts down on the dog hair. I made a video. There are some crumbs, but not much dog hair.
