This is interesting:

“When "Incognito” is turned on, your current profile name and image are NOT shared with your new contacts. It allows connections with other people without any shared data – when you make new connections or join groups via a link a new random profile name will be generated for each contact or group.

This page allows you to create a long term address that can be used by other people to connect with you. Unlike 1-time invitation links, these addresses can be used many times, that makes them good to share online, e.g. on other social media platforms.” nostr:note1zk5f6y07zzfesv3ujwky0662re5x83xla4juw4mx3aacfgw70fgsfnxhar

the icognito feature is lovely ... and the fact that there's no phone number attached to your account at all

Indeed

lmfao. sure.

SimpleX relays are written in Haskell 😍

Isn't that a Cardano thing?

Its a programming language

Are you a Haskell guy? I’ve always wanted to meet one in the wild. Are you a big fan of Rust as well? I’ve never programmed Haskell but I’ve heard Rust was strongly influenced by Haskell.

Haskell was the main language i used for like 10 years. I definitely like it more than Rust, although it is not as performant.

That’s an impressive list of packages. It sounds like you might be interested in the CHADstack for damus.io. 🙃

I tried to understand a -lens library once and died

Lens is the greatest library ever created

Just hasselling ya a bit there, lol.

It’s a higher institute of learning thing on new ways of programming lived by computer science researchers and PhD students

It’s definitely my favourite language. I programmed the entire artist payout system in Haskell when i worked at monstercat.

I tried learning it as it seemed so elegant but somehow my brain can't seem to comprehend what monads are 🥲 someday maybe I'll finally understand

That's nice #[4]

Now we're even more hopeful that we could see some sort of SimpleX-Nostr collaboration ? Or a NIP for SimpleX?

I have been using it for a few months, and the user experience is great.

It has some very advanced features, such as live text writing, which is especially beneficial for journalists working in dangerous areas.

Lot of thought has been put into its development.

So only the first time broadcast to initiate a private conversation with you is ever leaked? And I just discard everything if I later decide you are compromised?

Zero-ack?

This may be of interest to anyone looking at this. (They entered the chat in this thread)
