Hmmm…

I think a “luxury” is three things.

1. What we define it to be

2. What we value

3. What we prioritize

For us, it’s a matter of what do we want to move closer to.

That being said, homeschooling isn’t a luxury for my family. It’s a facilitator.

We are intentionally designing our life and as such, in order to move closer to want we want vs chasing more, homeschooling is the educational solution that serves us best.

I don’t know how people define homeschooling, but i don’t see how i could teach my son at home all day while trying to build damus

Not to mention social interaction …

Easily solved for! Most communities have numerous “social” aspects for homeschoolers.

We live in a growing rural area…almost suburban now…but still less than 200k in our county.

Our son plays on a basketball team, tonight he’s going to a movie hang at one of the parent’s house. Last week was field day, tomorrow he goes to a science club thing…

You merely have to be intentional (just like with everything)

Yes!! Intentionality is def the way to go.

But yes nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s I see what you mean. That’s what I meant by luxury. Eg if we (potential future partner) can afford to only have one income ha

It depends…

Again, definitions.

How do you define income?

Why is there a limit on the quantity of income(s)?

What does it mean to afford? Are there multiple angles to achieve “affording”?

Maybe one needs more than one partner (just kidding)

But in all seriousness, one attains what they want.

That isn’t to say you and I or Will or Bill (whomever he is…maybe your partner 🤷‍♂️🤣) should even want th same thing…

But we are all capable of moving closer to that which we do want.

So if homeschooling or _________ (insert whatever) it’s important to you, you will find a way to attain it.

That’s my point. It’s easy to come up with excuses or reasons why something isn’t viable.

It’s also simple to solve for them when we have clarity.

Yet, most opt for perceived easiness vs simplicity.
