Pretty crazy that after all these years we still have our edge.

Bitcoin is 100k and the information asymmetry still works in our favor.

Wild.

I really didnt see it playing out this way.

The old adage "you can't predict what's going to happen, but you can predict that humans will somehow, someway make it happen" Still, 100k? That's some next-level inflation right there What's the secret sauce now?

Game theory.

Pretty cool eh

How were you anticipating it playing out instead?

I expected people to wake up

I have become somewhat blackpilled in regards to people waking up.

It is not that their eyes are closed and they need to open them but rather that their eyes have been surgically removed and they have lost the capacity to see for themselves.

Their very means of sensing reality are reacting to it has been systematically eroded.

Like a whale attempting to leave the ocean and once again run on what used to be its legs. The capacity is gone.

Fish in water being told a secret about life on land…most aren’t brave enough to jump out of what they don’t know they are in…As for me (class of 2020) i literally never heard anyone I know talking about it and had no experience in finance or anything that would lead me to ponder it…until one day I stumbled onto the conversation. And to this day I know precisely 2 Bitcoiners personally (one of which is a shitcoiner as well).

And there are some that still don’t want to know - I used to get worked up for the ones I care about - it’s turned into pity

crazier is most of us have tried forcing the assymetry onto other in an evangellical frenzy. and it still didn't stick.

maybe we suck at marketing?

I think it’s a combination of the horse to water dilemma combined with the 105% certainty of the fervent proponents. Unless we are very thoughtful about meeting people where they are my experience is they tune out. Plus the backdrop of “everything we don’t know about money combined with cryptography/x/z”, and the salt of watching it for this long and not doing the work.

Secretly they might be hoping it fails?…

It’s literally the “they don’t know”meme playing out on repeat

Hulk smash

Yep... We definitely operate within a bubble.

Normies have no idea about anything. I went to Home Depot the other day to ask about where their Starlink was, and the young cashier said, "What is that?"

I use this as an example because it seems to me that #Starlink would be far more ubiquitously known than #bitcoin.

Most people still view Bitcoin as a fringe tech, possibly because it largely still is. This goes to show me that we're still in the "gradually" phase.

All this, and there's still people whining about a dip to $93k.

Still in the gradually phase. Even though it feels suddenly.

5 minutes after I heard the value prop, I thought everybody and their mother would be scrambling to collect as much as possible.

And yet here I am 6 years later, and people say "bUt iTs TOo vOlitiLe!"

You mean that the mainstream is still critical against Bitcoin and we can buy more at lower prices?

Not even after this scamdemic inflation wave.

i'll take my blessings and afflictions 🤙

Even at 1 million a coin, information asymmetry will still be common

The asymmetry is only Wild because we are not used to it. Imagine if you were in congress.

Was truly a blessing to be able to stack sats under $100k up to this point. Really thought I was going to miss the chance to truly stack any significant corn with my fiat mining (long training path before making decent money), but have been pleasantly surprised. The future remains bright!

We're still in the gradually since 95% of people think they missed the suddenly and won't buy.

Yeah that is been the most surprising thing so far that we are at $100k and overall adoption is still low in a global sense.

It’s crazy how we keep hearing the same excuses for 16 years

It’s the mindset. Always pushing, always searching. We keep getting lucky 🍀

Yup

Information overload. People are distracted by 10,000 things, from weird drones in NJ to Cybertrucks exploding.
