Today we have chosen La Jetée (1962) directed and written by Chris Marker.

Set in a post-apocalypse future, a time traveler tries to alter the past — it would later provid inspiration for the film 12 Monkeys (1995). Stylistically the film is made almost entirely of still photographs.
